Nordic Research Network for Medical History –
Summer School for PhD-students
7 - 10 September 2010
Organised by University of Tampere, Department of History and
Philosophy
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: 31 May 2010
This PhD-course aims at examining the interplay of global, national,
regional and local concerns in shaping health and environmental
policies in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Participants: The course is aimed at PhD-students with different
disciplinary backgrounds. The number of participants is limited to
20. Should more sign up, selection criteria will be used to ensure a
certain distribution of participants from different Nordic
universities, but otherwise we will follow the first come first
served principle.
Costs: There is no course fee. Hotel accommodation in double rooms,
lunches and coffees are provided by the organisers. Travel expenses
have to be covered by the participants.
Form: A combination of lectures, workshops and discussions.
Participants shall submit a text of 5-10 pages about their project by
8 August. These texts will be distributed to the other participants.
