Kiinnostaako sinua kenties YK, kansainvälinen politiikka tai vaikuttava
järjestötoiminta?

Tervetuloa innostumaan TYKy:n toiminnasta ja tutustumaan näihin teemoihin
hallituksen kanssa!

Kutsumme sinut lämpimästi TYKYn uusien iltaan torstaina 13.11. klo 18
alkaen Turku-salilla. Illan aikana esittelemme yhdistyksemme toimintaa ja
avaamme hallituspestien sisältöä. Tämä on erinomainen tilaisuus tutustua
tuleviin pesti mahdollisuuksiin ennen uuden hallituksen valintaa
syyskokouksessa, mutta mukaan ovat yhtä lailla tervetulleita kaikki, joita
kiinnostaa järjestötoiminta, kansainväliset aiheet tai mukava yhdessäolo
hyvässä seurassa! Tarjolla on myös pientä purtavaa!

Illan päätteeksi järjestämme leikkimielisen ja rennon MINI Model United
Nations -simulaation englanniksi halukkaille osallistujille. Sinulla ei
tarvitse olla aiempaa kokemusta, sillä opastamme ja autamme koko
simulaation ajan. TYKy:n puheenjohtaja Cristina Helmi Badoi toimii illan
moderaattorina ja hänellä on kokemusta MUN-simulaatioista.

Mikä on Model United Nations?
Se on simulaatio, jossa pääset eläytymään YK:n kokoukseen ja edustamaan
jotakin maata. Tehtäväsi on puolustaa sen näkökulmaa ajankohtaisista
maailmanlaajuisista kysymyksistä. Ennen simulaatiota jokainen osallistuja
saa satunnaisen maan, ja yhdessä äänestämme kokouksen teeman kahdesta
vaihtoehdosta. Lisäksi jokainen saa pienen lunttilapun, johon on koottu
MUNin perustermit, käytännön vinkkejä ja toimintaohjeet simulaation ajaksi.

Toivomme, että innostuit tästä ja näemmä uusien illassa! Tule siis
tutustumaan, oppimaan uutta ja pitämään hauskaa kanssamme!

Are you perhaps interested in the UN, international politics or influential
organizational activities?We warmly invite you to TYKy's new evening on
Thursday, November 13th starting at 7 pm. During the evening, we will
introduce our association's activities and open the content of the board
posts. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know the upcoming post
opportunities before the election of the new board at the autumn meeting,
but everyone who is interested in organizational activities, international
topics or a nice time together in good company is equally welcome! Snacks
will also be served!

At the end of the evening, we will organize a playful and relaxed MINI
Model United Nations simulation in English for willing participants. You do
not need to have previous experience, as we will guide and help throughout
the simulation. TYKy's chairperson Cristina Helmi Badoi will act as the
moderator of the evening as they have experience in MUN simulations.

What is the Model United Nations?

It is a simulation where you get to experience a UN meeting and represent a
country. Your task is to defend its point of view on current global issues.
Before the simulation, each participant is given a random country, and
together we vote on two options for the theme of the meeting. In addition,
everyone receives a small notepad with basic MUN terms, practical tips and
instructions for the simulation.

We hope you became interested in this and we will see you at the newcomers
evening! So come and get acquainted, learn something new and have fun with
us!
