Last chance to apply to the Nordic Model United Nations Climate Change
Conference in April 2012!

The second round of application is now open to the Security Council simulation,
so there is still a chance for you to apply to Nordic MUN 2012 and debate with
other people in the role of a distinguished delegate! More information about
Nordic MUN 2012 along with the application form can be found online at
www.nordicmun.com

Please submit your application as soon as possible as there aren't many places
left, but at the latest next Tuesday, on 31st of January 2012!

Nordic MUN is a joint Model United Nations project of the UN Associations in
Finland, Sweden and Norway. The first Nordic MUN was held in Kalmar, Sweden in
March 2011 and proved to be a great success. Now is your chance to join us for
the next Nordic MUN, which will be held in Nurmijärvi, Finland on the 23rd to
26th of April 2012. The theme of the conference will be climate change, and the
conference language will be English. The scenic conference centre Kiljavanranta
will provide the venue for the conference.

The Security Council of the Nordic MUN conference will be organized by the
Finnish Model United Nations Society (FinMUN). In order to apply to the
Security Council, you must be a student in a tertiary education (university or
equivalent), under 30 years of age and come from one of the Nordic or Baltic
countries. If you are currently an exchange student in one of these countries,
you are eligible to apply. You should apply as an individual delegate. The
organizers will then team you up with another delegate to form a country
delegation of two persons. Prior MUN experience is not obligatory.

FinMUN is also organizing a separate Post Nordic MUN event in Helsinki on 26th
to 27th of April. The program will include sightseeing in Helsinki, lectures
related to the UN and a festive dinner. The Post Nordic MUN event is open to
all delegates of the Security Council. Accommodation will at least be
self-funded, but the FinMUN team will assist the delegates in finding
affordable accommodation. When applying as a delegate to the Security Council,
please state in the application form whether you will be attending the Post
Nordic MUN event as well.
