We are looking for a student to work for 5 months together with M.Sc. Henriikka Kentala on a project involving membrane contact sites (junctions at which ER membranes are at close contact with other membraneous organelles), their function in cell signaling and lipid homeostatic control. This provides an excellent chance for preparing pro gradu (M.Sc. thesis). Laboratory courses of M.Sc. level (’syventävät’) are a prerequisite for this position, and experience in cell culture, biochemistry and molecular cell biology are counted as merits. Optimal starting time is May-June 2016. Stipendium support is available for the work.
