*24h architecture conference "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" 17 to 18 **April
2015 at the black box of Russian Theatre, Tallinn*

The conference “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” is an event initiated by
the members of the Chamber of Architecture, aiming to bring together
representatives from different fields of architecture – architects,
interior architects, landscape architects, urbanists, planners – as well as
representatives from other fields of study, like sociologists, geographers,
psychologists, biologists, literary studies etc. The discussion focuses on
how different perceptions of space, boundaries, evaluation and regulation
affects the formation of general judgments on the scale good-bad, and how
these binary value decisions impact the everyday practices of those fields.

Guest lecturers include London based writer and journalist *Owen Hatherley*,
and *Esa Laaksonen*, the director of Alvar Aalto Academy in Helsinki.
Presentations and discussions will be joined by *Kaja** Pae, Indrek Rünkla,
Tõnis Kahu, Mart Juur, Grete Arro, Mari Tarand, Aleksei Lotman, Peeter
Prisk, Daimar Liiv, Karri Tiigisoon, Maarin Mürk, Triin Ojari, Merle
Karro-Kalberg* and many others. The audience will have a chance
to participate in the night walk organized by the Estonian Urban Lab.

*Architecture conference “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” will take place
from April 17 to 18 at the black box of the Russian Theatre, Freedom Square
5, Tallinn.*

The event is *free* for everybody and takes place *in Estonian with
simultaneous translation into English.*

Konference is *organised by Chamber of Architecture* and
*supported by Cultural Endowment of Estonia* and *Ministry of Culture.*
