Introduction to Community informatics with Michael Gurstein
Welcome to a free afternoon workshop on Community Informatics with professor  Michael Gurstein (see the flyer).  Professor Gurstein is Executive Director of the Centre for Community Informatics Research, Development and Training (CCIRDT) in Vancouver (http://www.communityinformatics.net/), Canada and the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Community Informatics http://ci-journal.net<http://ci-journal.net/>.  Community informatics (CI) means the application of Information and Communication Technologies, such as the internet, mobile phones, urban screens etc., for the benefit of communities.
