Call for papers before  September 20th 2013

Conference on the 1st war

in Sarajevo 24-27.6.2014

- Six sessions (and not only four) : Historiography ; Going to War ; Waging War
(Frontlines and fighting experiences) ; Politics, Ideologies, Identities ;
Economic and social change : Memories of the Great War.

- The crossing of global and local perspective.

- The possibilities of relevant contributions of the CISH historians :

. on global history and a large spectrum of countries and continents
. on topics such as : historiography ; comparative history ; transnational
history ; gender

The answers to the call for papers may be very brief :  the title of the
suggested paper ; which session ?  from 5 to 10 lines of explanation ; a short
CV.

 

But are missing specially proposals on :

- Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the other  parts of Africa, India,
Middle East, United States, China, Russia, Nordic States, the Poles,  Britain,
Serbia, Montenegro, neutral countries of Latin America.

- War at sea

- Historiography ; cities in war ; gender and family life.

Nonetheless, please, continue to suggest proposals on the other countries and
topics listed in the call.
