Would not mind doing it that way as long as the lookups to foo.org would all be in one query. I mean that foo.org should be only queried once and the other requests for the result should be evaluated without again doing an lookup against foo.org. At least for the same connection/message.

btw: What about timeouts to foo.org? How does gross handle them? Will gross continue to query foo.org even if foo.org does not respond? How long is the timeout? Is that configurable? Per query? Per query host? Will gross bark about it in the log if it fails to do an lookup?

But yes. Having a cleaner syntax would help.
