Few words about the event:

It is a lively dialogue between words and music, with the performance of ancient texts set in music and contemporary songs by the musicians Pigi Lykoudi and Marios Maniatopoulos with explanatory interventions by the researcher of Greek language Maria Maragou.

Pigi Lykoudi, will present for the first time excerpts from Socrates' speeches set to music, performed by the tenor Marios Maniatopoulos. They will also perform well-known and cherished songs of contemporary Greek composers and poets, and Maria Maragou, will decode the verses of Georgios Seferis, Odysseas Elytis, Nikos Gatsos, and Nikiforos Vrettakos, thus giving prominence to the timelessness of the Greek language.

 Best regards,
Georgios Krimianiotis
