As in the past, the International Association of Patristic Studies (IAPS)/Association Internationale d'Études Patristiques (AIEP) will be offering scholarships to enable doctoral and post-doctoral students to attend the XVIII International Conference on Patristic Studies in Oxford on 19-24 August 2019.

Individuals currently enrolled in a doctoral program and individuals who have completed their doctorate within the past five years (2015 to 2019) but do not have a position in a university are eligible to apply. Applicants must have submitted an abstract to the conference at https://www.oxfordpatristics.com/ (deadline December 31, 2018). Scholarships will be awarded only to individuals whose abstract has been accepted by the conference organizers. The scholarship will cover the registration fee and the cost of accommodation in Oxford during the conference (but not travel, meals or other living expenses).

Those individuals who wish to apply for the scholarship, please send to Maijastina Kahlos
(maijastina.kahlos at helsinki.fi<mailto:maijastina.kahlos at helsinki.fi>) the following information or documents by December 31, 2018:

1. the name and status (currently in a doctoral program or date doctorate was completed) of the applicant;
2. the name and institution of the supervisor of the doctoral program or thesis;
3. the title and abstract of the communication that the applicant has submitted to the conference;
4. the applicant's curriculum vitae, including complete contact information (postal address, email address, telephone number); and
5. a letter of reference from a member of the Association or the applicant's doctoral supervisor.

The Executive Committee of IAPS/AIEP will review all the applications with a view to awarding scholarships by March 31, 2019.
