Dear all,
We're pleased to inform you that registration for the upcoming symposium "Working With Cultural Objects and Manuscripts: Provenance, Legality, and Responsible Stewardship" is now open. The symposium takes place on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 June 2017 in the auditorium of the National Museum of Finland, Helsinki. Registration is free and available until 28 May 2017. The registration form is accessible through the following link:

Please check out the provisional symposium programme, which is now available online (http://blogs.helsinki.fi/culturalobjects/symposium-programme/). The programme includes the following keynote speakers: Neil Brodie (University of Oxford), Patty Gerstenblith (DePaul University), Magnus Olofsson (Swedish National Heritage Board & Vasa Museum), and Christopher Rollston (George Washington University), as well as case presentations by Nordic researchers and professionals on working with cultural objects from the three perspective of Museums, Government agencies, and Academia. The symposium will be concluded by a roundtable discussion to highlight the key issues during the symposium and to identify areas where more work within Finland is still necessary.
So, please register and join us at the symposium on 5-6 June 2017. We very much look forward to meeting you all there!
Best wishes,
Visa Immonen, Sanna Aro-Valjus, Rick Bonnie, Nida Dandashi, Helen Dixon, Saimi Kautonen, Ulla Tervahauta, and Suzie Thomas
