PhD Seminar in Ethiopia, October - November, 2016
The Nordic Network for the Study of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in the First Millennium (NNJCI) is proud to present its new seminar on Ethiopian Christianity and its contacts with Jewish and Islamic traditions. This is a unique opportunity to visit Ethiopia, its several awe-inspiring places (such as the stone hewn churches in Lalibela, the ancient Aksum and several monasteries) in the guidance of both local and Nordic experts.
For a more detailed description, including the new, updated programme and travel budget, as well as the application form, visit the website of the Nordic Network for the Study of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: http://nnjci.mf.no/2-uncategorised/8-the-church-of-ethiopia-in-antiquity-and-the-middle-ages. Please note that we have been fortunate to get some funding, and the price of the two-week seminar has now come down to ca. 965 EUR, excluding the flights to Ethiopia and back (ca. 540 EUR).
The application period is now open and the deadline for applications is March 31, 2016.
