Ph.D. required at commencement of appointment.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching classical languages and experience teaching classical mythology required.  Primary responsibilities will be teaching introductory and intermediate Latin and teaching a 200-student textbook-based introductory mythology lecture. There is a possibility to teach an undergraduate course in literature in translation. Teaching load is 12 hours/semester or 24 hours/academic year. Salary: $34,000 plus benefits.
