Within Excellence Cluster 264 "Topoi - The Formation and Transformation of
Space and Knowledge in Ancient Civilizations", which has been set up in the
framework of the Excellence Initiative at the Freie Universität Berlin and
the Humboldt-Universität Berlin,

10 Stipends for Junior Fellows

are being offered. The support can last from 6 months up to 12 months (the
period is to be specified in the application) and is to begin between
January 1st and March 31st, 2009. The Fellows' research plans should be
related to the Excellence Cluster's research questions. Information on Topoi
and its research groups can be found at www.topoi.org.

The prerequisite for applying is a doctoral thesis far above average in one
of the disciplines participating in the Excellence Cluster.

The stipend provides 2,300 Euros a month.

Along with the customary application documents (cv, grade transcripts, two
letters of recommendation), an outline of the intended research is expected
that is related to Topoi's fields of research.
