Are you interested in a humanitarian career?

The International Committee of the Red Cross, founded in 1863, is an 
impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively 
humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of 
war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC 
is mandated by the international community, through the Geneva 
conventions, to act and take humanitarian initiative in conflicts.

Every year, the ICRC recruits hundreds of young and dynamic persons 
around the world for a wide variety of careers. For candidates from 
Finland, the recruitment is done in close cooperation with the Finnish 
Red Cross and delegates start their career on a Finnish Red Cross contracts.

Come and explore your opportunities to work for the ICRC on the 11th of 
April in Edu3/University of Turku 13.00 – 15.00.

Markus Dolder from the ICRC will present the organization and career 
opportunities and answer questions together with Andreas von 
Weissenberg, HR Coordinator at the Finnish Red Cross.

Among the basic requirements to work for the ICRC is a strong 
humanitarian motivation, a Masters degree and a minimum of 2 years of 
work experience. For many positions, fluency in French is an asset – as 
is knowledge of other languages, such as Arabic, Pashto, Dari/Farsi, 
Urdu/Hindi, Turkish, Russian and Spanish.
