Hello everybody!

The FINMUN 2007 conference is getting closer, and we have already accepted 
the first delegates (they haven't been notified yet). The deadline for 
applications has now been set to 15th of December, 2006. 

This means: please hurry with your applications!

United Nations Security Council to convene once again in Helsinki, Finland 
                             11.-18.2.2007 

Dive into the world of international politics! Finnish Model United Nations 
Society (FinMUN) gathers students from all over the world to solve an 
international crisis. 

A multicultural student group will seek a solution to an international 
crisis in a three day simulation, in a realistic Security Council setting. 
Before the resolution is ready, delegates will have to learn about 
diplomatic language, decision making, rules of international politics and 
social skills. 

The conference week is a varied and fun experience! It includes 
teambuilding, receptions, lectures, parties and embassy visits. The 
highlight of the week is the 3-day Security Council (SC) simulation, where 
each delegate will represents one SC country in a delegation (but never 
their own country). 

This is the second international university-level MUN held in Finland. The 
first conference was held in February 2006 and it had participants from 24 
different countries. Do not miss out!
