Heii,

aloitan tämän KINFOn huomauttamalla etten ole TYKryn lautapelivastaava. Kannan kuitenkin lautapelitoimarin soihtua, kuten kannoin viime vuonnakin, vielä siihen asti, että löydämme uuden sankarin täyttämään tämän pyhän tehtävän.

Lisäksi minun on pakko myöntää olevani ruosteessa. Pitkän kesän jälkeen on vaikeaa muistaa mistä lautapeli-illoissa on syvällä sisimmissään kyse. Muistan toki, että ne järjestetään joka toinen maanantai Arcanumin aulassa. Ja, että niiden alkamisaika on klo 18:00. Mutta miksi? Miksi me kuolevaiset uhraamme kallisarvoista aikaamme pelaamassa lautapelejä toisten kemistien (ja muiden) kanssa, jos voisimme käydä tervehtimässä vanhempiamme? Miksi hauska ajanvietto hyvässä seurassa on meille tärkeämpää kuin demojen laskeminen? Onko syy lautapelit itse? Vai ehkä Arcanumin aulan romanttinen sisustus? Vai motivoiko meitä ehkä materia ja pilttipisteet? Ovatko lautapeli-illat nykyisessä taloustilanteessa edes pilttipisteen arvoisia? Onko minulla oikeus luovuttaa pilttipisteitä vaikka toimarin jumalalliset valtuudet on minulta riistetty? Ehkä saamme vastauksia huomenna. Peli-illassa.

I will begin this short announcement with a short announcement. I am not the Board Game  Person. There is no Board Game Person. If you want the responsibility of the Board Game Person you can follow the instructions in the email. You know the one.

Back to the matter at hand. I have to admit that I am starting to get rusty. After a long summer and even longer week of studying, I have forgotten what is the meaning of Board Game Nights. I know that every other Monday we gather to Arcanum's lobby at 18:00 to play board games. But why? Why do we, mortal as we are, waste our precious time playing board games with other students, when we could be spending time with our families? Why does fun and great company have a larger priority than our assignments? Is it the board games? Or the romantic decor of our beloved Arcanum? Or are we merely motivated by the points we need to gather to earn our place among our peers? The points that carry the name of "Pilttipiste"? Am I still allowed to give out these points, despite the divine right of the Board Game Person? Maybe there will be answers. Tomorrow. At the Board Game Night.
