1.1 Universitas Turku -hakua jatketaan 23.3.2018 asti

Hakuaikana Universitas Turku -hankerahaa on haettu vähemmän kuin sitä on jaossa, joten hakuaikaa on jatkettu 23.3.2018 asti. Nyt on oikea hetki hakea rahaa sen oman lempi-idean toteuttamiseen! Hanke voi olla sellainen kurssi, jota oman aineen opiskelijat tarvitsisivat, mutta oppiainen ei ole keksinyt järjestää. Se voi olla aivan uudenlainen akateeminen projekti. Pääasia on, että se tukee opiskelua ja on uusi. Tarkemmin voit tutustua hankehaun ehtoihin Universitas Turku -hankkeen säännöistä, josta käy ilmi myös minkälaisiin hankkeisiin rahaa ei voi saada.

TYY on päättänyt lähteä mukaan yhteiseen kehitysyhteistyö-hankkeeseen Suomen ylioppilaskuntien liiton ja muutaman muun ylioppilaskunnan kanssa. Hankerahoitusta haetaan ulkoministeriöltä toukokuussa 2018.Etsimme nyt vapaaehtoisia, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita tekemään hankesuunnitelmaa kanssamme.

1.3 On olemassa 7 erilaista uratyyppiä. Mikä niistä olet?

Tee Universumin uratesti, niin etsimme sinulle sopivia työnantajia, annamme kattavasti tietoa uraprofiilistasi, sekä tarjoamme yli 1000 HR-asiantuntijan selvityksen työnantajien halutuimmista ”pehmeistä” taidoista. Jos uratestiin osallistuu yli 1000 opiskelijaa, Universum lahjoittaa 500 euroa Suomen Punaisen Ristin Suomen yksikön toimintaan.

TYS tarjoaa mahdollisuuden etsiä itse uuden kämppiksen soluasuntoon kevään aikana (31.5.2018 saakka). Mikäli asut itse tai kaverisi asuu TYS:n solussa, josta on vapautumassa huone ja olisitte kiinnostuneita asumisesta kämppiksinä, ottakaa yhteyttä TYS:n vuokrauspalveluihin. Onnistuneista uusista kämppissopimuksista TYS palkitsee teidät yhteisellä 100 € ruokalahjakortilla.

2.1 The Sims -sitsit 22.3.

Oletko miettinyt, miltä tuntuisi olla The Sims -hahmo ja sitsata samaan aikaan? Entä mitä kieltä samaisessa pelimaailmassa puhutaan?
Enää ei tarvitse tyytyä pelkkään miettimiseen, sillä SKO järjestää The Sims -sitsit 22.3. Osakuntasalissa.

Sitsien hintaan kuuluu alku-, pää- ja jälkiruoka, kaksi ruokajuomaa, alkusnapsi, kahvi/tee ja avec. Näiden lisäksi jokainen sitsaaja saa päänsä päälle The Sims -pelistä tutun vihreän "timantin".
Sitsit kustantavat SKOn jäsenille 16€ ja muille 19€. Alkoholiton menu on samanhintainen. Sitsit maksetaan paikan päällä.

Sitseille mahtuu 60 ensimmäiseksi ilmoittautunutta, joten nopeus on valttia tälläkin kerralla. Ilmoittautuminen on auki ja sulkeutuu maanantaina 19.3. klo 23.59.

Koska simit ovat hyvin erilaisia keskenään, näille sitseille voit pukeutua, miten haluat, kunhan muistat pukeutua. Varsinaista pukukoodia ei siis ole.

SHIH CHIEN UNIVERSITY
Shih Chien University is a private university located in the heart of Taipei offering both Bachelor and Master level studies in various fields. The university is especially well-known for its cutting-edge design programs that rank among the best in the world. It is also recognized as one of the pioneer schools in Taiwan for its English Taught Programme (ETP) in International Business. Courses are also offered for example in human ecology, and all students will get an introduction to Chinese language and culture as well. Find out more about available studies here.

During one semester, you can obtain up to 25 local credits (ca. 38 ECTS). All courses are organized within the university’s own curricula. Therefore, most courses also have a large local student body, which allows you to build up your international network, improve your intercultural communication skills and gain first-hand cultural knowledge that will be a great asset if you are aiming for an international career.

You also have the possibility to participate in various excursions in Taipei and elsewhere in Taiwan. The campus area holds several sports and free time facilities which are at the disposal of all students free of charge.

The price of one semester at Shih Chien University is 1690 EUR. The application fee is 75 EUR. You can also apply for two semesters, in which case you will receive a 100 EUR discount on the fees of the second semester.


Semester dates and application deadlines:

Autumn 2018:    September 17th, 2018 – January 18th, 2019 (dates still tentative)
Spring 2019:       February 25th, 2019 – June 14th, 2019 (dates still tentative)

The application period for the upcoming semesters is currently open. The application deadline for the next autumn semester is May 31st, 2018.

Students applying to Shih Chien University are required to be currently enrolled in an institution of higher education. Detailed application instructions and requirements are found on our website. All you need to do, is to submit us your application online with a few required attachments, and your study abroad placement at Shih Chien University is guaranteed.

4. Loppukevennys

Tehottomuudesta kärsinyt Suomen jääkiekkomaajoukkue vetäytyi harjoittelemaan yhteishenkeä taideleirille. Pelaajat tekivät pareittain toisistaan veistokset. Aho teki Puljujärvestä pronssipatsaan ja Lasse Kukkonen Veli-Matista savinaisen.
