Hei,
Parhain terveisin,
Sampo

With apologies for cross-posting. Please feel free to circulate this invitation across your networks.
Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS<https://www.utu.fi/en/research/research-collegia/tias>) invites you to attend the launch of its new programme, the Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme (TIES). Sign up here<https://konsta.utu.fi/Default.aspx?tabid=88&tap=14113> to attend.
TIES<https://www.utu.fi/en/research/research-collegia/tias/ties> is a ground-breaking new fellowship scheme based at UTU Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS<https://www.utu.fi/en/research/research-collegia/tias>), in partnership with Turku Science Park. Funded by the European Union’s Marie Skłodowksa Curie Action (MSCA) programme, TIES is a blend of traditional Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) bottom-up research with intersectoral working. All applicants appointed to the TIES programme will undertake a secondment with an organization outside of higher education. TIES Fellows will be appointed for three years from 1 September 2023 and will undertake a secondment for a minimum of two and a maximum of six months during these years. The aim is to develop a cohort of expert researchers able to spot and develop opportunities across academia, industry, government and not-for-profit.
We are actively seeking expressions of interest from organisations interested in collaborating with TIES and the University of Turku. We also hope to promote the scheme widely across Finland and the world and encourage participants to share this invite with their networks.
The launch event, hosted online with TIAS Director, Professor Martin Cloonan, will take place on November 15, 15:00-16:30, and will provide more information on the scheme. Sign up here<https://konsta.utu.fi/Default.aspx?tabid=88&tap=14113> to attend and read more about the scheme here<https://www.utu.fi/en/news/news/turku-institute-for-advanced-studies-launches-new-scheme-with-eight-fellowhips-call-for>.
