 *The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the university of
Amsterdam has an opening for an Assistant professor (UD) or Associate
professor (UHD) in urban sociology.*



The new assistant/associate professor will be embedded in the program group
‘Political Sociology: Power, Place and Difference’, and be active in urban
sociology.

S/he is currently expected to spend 60 percent of the time on teaching
(both sociology in general and urban sociology in particular), and 40
percent on research. Both activities include administrative tasks and
services to the academic community.

= a statement outlining research plans (2 pages max.);

= a statement outlining teaching philosophy (1 page max.);

= a list of three referees.
