Her topical lecture deals with "Significance of China for theory building in urban studies"

Shen Jie is Lecturer of urban studies at School of Social Development and Public Policy, Fudan University, Shanghai. She received her PhD Degree at the School of City and Regional Planning, Cardiff University.  Her research interests focus on China’s urban and regional development, especially suburbanization and suburban development, migration and urbanization, housing studies. She has published extensively on various aspects of China's urbanization (for list of publications, see the attachment).
