The Right to be Forgotten: manage your online persona
- placing the power back in the hands of individuals
 
From the perspective of an individual, a citizen, an employee or a consumer, create a smart mobile device app to help track and manage personal data (bearing in mind the “Right to be Forgotten” and related topics).
Your ideas should first of all revolve around providing a solution to track and identify one’s personal data. The next step is to devise solutions to either secure, filter or bring added value to this data. Think about actions, functionalities or objectives that might be useful in your app to protect personal data eg. automatic de-subscription, notifications, deletion, or ensuring results do not appear in search engine top hits.

Instructions
1.	Read the IT Challenge rules carefully. 
2.	Create an account via the "Join the competition" section. 
Register your team composed by a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4. You will need your university email to create an account so make sure you have one. 
3.	Find a brilliant concept about ways to manage, secure and erase personal data and submit your idea until the end of November
Competition phases:
Phase 1: Registration & Idea Generation
From 15 October until 30 November 2015, we will invite you to come up with a concept for an app to better control, manage and protect personal data online. We will ask you to present to us the technology and architecture you are going to use to realize this and how you will develop it in the second phase. Be creative - 15 teams will be shortlisted!  
Phase 2: App Development
From December until April 2016, the 15 shortlisted teams will work on the app development.
Phase 3: Final Presentations
In May 2016, the 15 teams will present their finished apps with the finalists being invited to an Awards Ceremony in June in Paris.
Each of the finalist teams will get a coach assigned to support them during the 2nd phase of the IT Challenge. The coaches all belong to Atos Scientific Community.
