Mass brainstorming event

– Ideate a new Turku and Southwestern Finland

Main goal is to get 40 000 new ideas – 
What are we missing here?

We are inviting all students to our mass brainstorming event!

What? #TurkuInnovoi is an open innovation idea campaign that is held for the first time on 5 November 2015. The campaign is organized mainly in social media, and supported by live events in Turku. The ultimate goal is to have 40 000 new ideas, and to create a mass brainstorming event! Don’t wait for the change, be the change!

Anyone can define their own development challenges and anyone can post and share their own ideas! In social media the meet and greet places for the challenges and the ideas are Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, because on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram it is easy to specify challenges and ideas with special hashtags. Through social media the challenge givers are also able to find all the answers by using the challenge specific hashtags.

The innovation idea campaign isn’t a competition where just one person is rewarded but it is a possibility to meet people, companies and partners who might be willing to take the ideas to the next level. Although success in social media and the most innovative ideas may be rewarded by the challenge givers.

How to participate?

1  Search and define the challenge you want to participate in

The main challenge: What are we lacking here? 
Challenge’s hashtag: #VSpuuttuu 

You can also define your own challenge among those issues that you care (or that annoys you), in your studies, or in Turku or in the SW Finland more general.

Other ready-made challenges will be published on the event website (turkuinnovoi.fi) and will be presented on event’s social media forums (TurkuInnovoi). Every challenge will have its own hashtag that makes it identifiable. Use it! In these challenges, there are different prizes available.

You can search the challenges from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by the search term #turkuinnovoihaaste, and by the identifiable challenge-spesific hashtags.

2  Ideate by yourself, twosome or in a group, and ideate a lot! In the beginning you shouldn’t think whether the ideas are possible or profitable, just let them flow! You can find a lot of tips from the web, for example how to brainstorm. After the ideation, you just align the best idea/ideas and post them.

3  Post your ideas on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram. Use ALWAYS the hashtag #turkuinnovoi_idea and the challenge-spesific hashtag, if it has one.

You can post on your own wall, or find the challenge-spesific field from the event wall, and post the idea by commenting there: https://www.facebook.com/events/775710045908855/  

Twitter example: #turkuinnovoi_idea #Vspuuttuu Description of the idea. 

If the challenge has a hashtag of its own, definitely use it, because then, it is possible to link your idea with a certain challenge. You can also add a link into the tweet, if you have described your idea in more detail somewhere on the net, or use a picture that explains the idea more broadly. A tweet is short, only 140 marks.
