Call for Papers
The special theme of the 2016 conference is the role of long-term inequalities
in societal development: what kind of inequalities and distinctions have been
important in history, how they have been produced and/or overcome. The range of
topics may vary from medieval to current phenomena and from material to social
or spiritual spheres of life. We welcome papers focusing on the history of
Finland, or any society, and especially comparative approaches, in time or in
space.
Researchers interested in proposing an individual paper or a session are invited
to send a short abstract (max 250 words) in English by June 30, 2016 to the
following email address: johanna.annola[at]uta.fi. The accepted / rejected
speakers will be notified in August.
While no travel grants are available, the organisers will provide meals and
accommodation in Tampere for accepted speakers. There is no registration fee.
