Weird response from Sun, indeed. How did they know which server to try 
in the first place?

If you still have the response, please forward it to me. I met an email 
administrator from Sun at the comms summit in Brussels last week, I 
could ask him if he has some technical details on the matter. It was 
funny to see how widely spread Gross actually is. Either the Google's 
download counters are skewed or svn is used more than I've thought. E.g. 
couple of major Polish ISP's have implemented it and there were sites 
handling tens of millions of messages each day. It gave me a lot of 
motivation to work on developing Gross.
