Topic: "Harnessing big data for health research - multi-omics analytical approaches"

Date and time: Friday 14th Feb 2020, 14:00-15:00
Place: Agora, 452E

The constantly accumulating amounts of data pose unprecedented opportunities as well as challenges for health research. The usual cross-sectional, single-trait, single omics dataset at a time type of analyses are under-utilising the resources at hand and looking at complex human traits in a very simplistic way. Human traits tend to correlate with each other, and diseases appear in clusters. Multi-trait analysis, longitudinal trajectories leading to disease progression and advanced data analysis methods, such as machine learning provide solutions for big data analysis of complex human traits.

Welcome!
