REMINDER:

The research project “Reinventing the Foundations of European Legal 
Culture 1934-1964” in the University of Helsinki invites applications 
for the position of
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER
for a fixed term of one year, commencing 1 August 2015 or as agreed.

The aim of the postdoctoral researcher position is to encourage a 
talented, recently graduated holder of a doctoral degree to seek further 
qualifications and become an independent professional researcher.

According to the Regulations of the University of Helsinki, the 
appointee must hold a doctoral degree and have the ability to conduct 
independent scientific work as well as the teaching skills required by 
the position. In the project, the task of the appointee would be to 
conduct a study exploring the narratives arising from different strands 
of European thought on law, tradition and history. Such a study may 
concentrate on the history of law, jurisprudence, Roman law, 
intellectual history, the history of totalitarianism of the 20th century 
and other relevant themes.
