Hallitus kaipailee tänäkin vuonna apukäsiä ja apureita, joten kurkkaahan toimihenkilöhakua käsittelevä kohta 2.1, jos toimaritoiminta kiinnostaa. Toimihenkilöksi voi hakea, vaikka hallituksen toiminta ei olisi tuttua. Tehdään tästäkin vuodesta mahtava vuosi

 huomioidaan, sekä kursseilla opiskelijoita kohdellaan reilusti. Lisäksi kopot hoitavat muun muassa kopokahveja, joissa keskustellaan laitoksen henkilöstön kanssa erilaisista koulutuspoliittisista aiheista, kuten kurssipalautteista ja tenttimisjärjestelmistä.</span></span></p>

Hei kaikki biokemistit!<br>

 <br>

Bioteknologian laitoksen kouke eli koulutuksen kehittämistyöryhmä hakee vielä yhtä (1) varajäsentä vuodelle 2025. <br>

 <br>

Kouke kokoontuu noin 1–2 kuukauden välein keskustelemaan opetukseen liittyvistä asioista (1–2 h/krt) ja opiskelijajäsenten lisäksi ryhmässä on laitoksen opetushenkilökuntaa (biokemia, molekulaarinen kasvibiologia, biotekniikka ja elintarviketieteet). Koukessa

 saat kuulla tulevista uudistuksista ja pääset vaikuttamaan laitoksen koulutukseen liittyviin asioihin. Akateemisella iällä tai aikaisemmalla kokemuksella ei ole merkitystä, koska tärkeintä on kiinnostus ja halu vaikuttaa opintojen sisältöön ja laatuun. Kouken

 jäsenenä toimiminen ei vie aikaa kokousten ulkopuolella. <br>

 taloudenhoitajaksi Petri Tähtinen ja sihteeriksi Marica Engström. Muut johtokunnan jäsenet ovat Ilari Kuukkanen, Olli Martiskainen ja Atte Tuominen. TYK ry:stä opiskelijajäseneksi on ilmoittautunut Hilla Nieminen. Opiskelijajäsen vahvistetaan johtokunnan jäseneksi

 kerhon kevätkokouksessa helmikuussa.<br>

Johtokunta esittäytyy afterwork-henkisessä GetTogether-tapahtumassa <strong>TIISTAINA 28.1.2025 TEERENPELISSÄ</strong> (Eerikinkatu 8, Turku). Tule paikalle juttelemaan johtokuntalaisten kanssa ja kuulemaan juhlavuoden tapahtumien suunnitelmista. Rento tilaisuus

 tarjoaa myös mahdollisuuden tutustua uusiin ihmisiin ja viettää aikaa hyvässä seurassa. Tapahtumassa on tarjolla JUOMALIPPUJA klo 18-19 välisenä aikana. Kerho tarjoaa (opiskelija)jäsenelleen sekä yhdelle hänen kollegalleen / kaverilleen juoman! Johtokunnan

 esittäytyminen alkaa noin klo 18.30.<br>

Työryhmän tehtävänä on suunnitella kampuksen tilaratkaisuja siten, että ne tukevat yhteisön tarpeita mahdollisimman hyvin. Työryhmä kokoontuu noin kerran kuussa ja työskentely tapahtuu työpajamuotoisesti. Tapaamisiin valmistautumisen tueksi työryhmän jäsenille

 toimitetaan ennakkomateriaalia ja mahdollisia tehtäviä. Seuraavat työryhmän tapaamiset ovat 30.1.2025 ja 27.2.2025.<br>

Turun yliopisto toteuttaa osana talouden tasapainottamisohjelmaa tilaohjelmaa, jonka tavoitteena on vähentää yliopiston käytössä olevia kokonaisneliöitä, hillitä vuokrakustannuksia ja pienentää tilakustannuksia. Tilaohjelman osana suunnitellaan Turun normaalikoulun

 siirtymistä Varissuolta kampusalueelle Educariumiin. Yliopiston hallitus päätti kesäkuussa 2024 käynnistää siirtymiseen liittyvän hankesuunnittelun, jonka arvioidaan kestävän noin kaksi vuotta.<br>

Hankesuunnitteluun kuuluu myös Educariumin nykyisten käyttäjien tilajärjestelyjen suunnittelu, joka toteutetaan yliopistoyhteisöä osallistaen. Educariumissa tullaan samalla tekemään peruskorjaus ja tavoitteena on, että Turun normaalikoulun toiminta kampuksella

 voisi alkaa syyslukukaudella 2028. Hankesuunnittelua varten on perustettu tilatyöryhmä, johon TYYtä on pyydetty nimeämään opiskelijaedustajia kevään ajaksi.<br>

 Varjovalmennus etsii nyt vapaaehtoisia ilmaiselle lääketieteen valmennuskurssille keväällä 2025.<br>

Varjovalmennus ry haastaa kaupalliset, jopa tuhansia euroja maksavat valmennuskurssit. Tarkoituksena on tarjota ilmaisia valmennuskursseja, jotta useammalla olisi paremmat mahdollisuudet tavoitella toivomaansa opiskelupaikkaa.<br>

Kurssin sisältö perustuu lääketieteellisen valintakokeeseen, käytännössä lukion fysiikan, kemian ja biologian oppimäärään. Kurssilla painotetaan kuitenkin aiempia soveltavia valintakoetehtäviä. Mahdollisia työtehtäviä ovat mm. luennoiminen, laskareissa auttaminen

 ja tehtävien suunnittelu. Myös muu osaaminen ja uudet ideat otetaan avosylin vastaan. Tavoitteena on ensimmäistä kertaa lisätä mukaan ihmisbiologian osuus, joten biologiaa tuntevien tarve on erittäin suuri!<br>

Opettajaksi ilmoittautuminen ei sido mihinkään tiettyyn työmäärään. Vastuut sovitaan yhdessä, kun opettajaporukka on koossa. Kurssilla on kurssivastaava ja sihteeri, jotka pitävät huolen, että sumplimiset hoituvat minimisäädöllä. Aiempaa opetuskokemusta ei

 tarvitse olla – tekemällä oppii, ja opetusta voidaan miettiä yhdessä. Varjovalmennuksen vapaaehtoisena saat toiveidesi mukaan kokemusta esiintymisestä ja opettamisesta, tehtävien laatimisesta, kurssin suunnittelusta ja halutessasi saat työtodistuksen. Kurssin

 opettajille järjestyy myös virkkarit Varjovalmennuksen piikkiin kiitokseksi tärkeästä työstä.<br>

Järjestämme kursseja vain aloille, joille pääsy ilman valmennuskurssia on vaikeaa tai melkein mahdotonta. Lääkikseen pääsyn ehtona on hyvin usein maksullinen kurssi, ja siksi meistä on tärkeää järjestää vaihtoehto niille, jotka eivät voi osallistua maksullisille

 kursseille. Kurssin toteutuminen riippuu siitä, saammeko riittävästi vapaaehtoisia, jotta työmäärä on kaikille kohtuullinen. Ilmoittautumalla mukaan kevyellä panoksella lisäät heti kurssin toteuttamismahdollisuuksia.<br>
