<span style="font-size:14px">Kemiat kohtaa on vuosittain järjestettävä koko Suomen kemian alan opiskelijoiden yhteinen tapahtuma, johon sisältyy esimerkiksi päiväseminaareja ja yritysvierailuita, sekä rentoja tutustumistilaisuuksia, kuten sitsit, bileet ja

 pubivisoja. Vaikka nimi on "Kemiat kohtaa", on tapahtumaan osallistunut perinteisesti myös paljon biokemian ja muiden tekniikan alojen opiskelijoita. Ennen korona-aikaa tapahtuma veti osallistujia noin 100–200 ympäri Suomen. Kemiat kohtaa -tapahtuma järjestetään

 syksyllä 2023 Turussa, lokakuussa. </span></p>

 Kemistklubbenin kanssa ja nyt etsimme järjestöistä koostuvaa toimikuntaa suunnittelemaan ja järjestämään tapahtumaa. Tapahtuman karkea ohjelmarunko on jo suunniteltu ja ajankohta on mietitty.</span></p>

<span style="font-size:14px">Kemiat kohtaa is an annual event for all chemistry students in Finland, which includes, for example, seminars and company visits, as well as casual get-to-know-you events, such as parties, sitz parties, and pub quizzes. Although

 the name is "Chemistries meet", the event has traditionally also been attended by many students of biochemistry and some fields of engineering. The event usually attracts around 100–200 participants from all over Finland. The event will take place in the fall of

 2023 in Turku, in October. Our organization organizes the event in cooperation with Adamas ry and Åbo Akademi's Kemistklubben, and now we are looking for a committee consisting of all three organizations to plan and organize the event.</span></p>

<strong>Background</strong>: Despite its abundance in the Finnish forests, lingonberries have been underutilized due to its unpalatable nature. A solution to this issue was sought in my master’s thesis via the development of lingonberry wines. Further, different

 yeasts were used in the fermentations to study the impact of strain variability on flavor profile.  </p>

The evaluations shall be carried out by evaluating the appearance, taste, and odor of the samples. <strong>Since samples containing alcohol shall be evaluated</strong>, it is advised that the participants are familiar with the flavor of alcohol and of legal

 drinking age (>18 years). Additionally, since the study is conducted in English, English-speakers are expected to volunteer. Further, it is encouraged to avoid driving immediately post the tests (max up to 40mL of 8% alcohol content samples may be consumed). 

 Additionally, all participants have the right to relinquish their participation at any time during the tests with no additional explanations needed.</p>

<span style="font-size:14px">Tiedesynttäreiden ja -kerhojen tavoitteena on innostaa ja kannustaa lapsia ja nuoria matematiikan, luonnontieteiden ja teknologian harrastamiseen ja opiskeluun. Ohjaaminen sopii erityisesti aineenopettajaksi tai luokanopettajaksi

 opiskeleville, mutta myös kaikille tiedekasvatuksesta ja lasten kanssa toimimisesta kiinnostuneille. Tiedesynttäreitä ja kerhoja järjestetään sekä LUMA-labralla yliopistonmäellä että Kasvitieteellisellä puutarhalla Ruissalossa. Kerhoja on lisäksi mahdollista

 järjestää myös Liedon Vanhalinnalla. <br>

Tiedesynttärit ovat valmiiksi suunnitellut ja ohjaajat koulutetaan synttäreiden vetämiseen. Synttäreitä on kahdet erilaiset, labrasynttärit LUMA-labralla sekä myöhemmin keväällä starttaavat uudet seikkailusynttärit Kasvitieteellisellä puutarhalla. Voit valita,

 haluatko ohjata molempia synttäreitä vai vain toisia ja ohjata synttäreitä silloin, kun se sinulle sopii! <br>

Tiedekerhoja löytyy myös valmiiksi suunniteltuina, mutta halutessasi voit suunnitella kerhon kokonaan itse tai yhdessä koordinaattorin tai toisen ohjaajamme kanssa! Kerhojen aihepiirit vaihtelevat laidasta laitaan. Olemme muun muassa järjestäneet tähtitedekerhoja,

 kemian ja fysiikan aiheisiin liittyviä kerhoja, ohjelmointikerhoja, myytinmurtajat-kerhon, luonnonkosmetiikkakerhon, ötökkäkerhon, arkeologiakerhon ja paljon muita! <br>

Synttäreiden ja kerhojen ohjauksesta maksetaan palkkiona 30 €/kerta. Mikäli suunnittelet kerhon itse, maksetaan suunnittelutyöstä tuntipalkkaa 12,69 €/tunti. <br>
