Hyvää aurinkoista lauantaita (bio)kemistit! Jälleen on viikko vierähtänyt ja ainakin allekirjoittanutta piristää aurinkoinen sää ja pitenevät päivät. Haaveet kaatuu -bileet järjestettiin torstaina ja eilen sankka joukko tykryläisiä kävi katsomassa HybridiSpeksiä!

 Kuluneella viikolla puheenjohtajamme ja allekirjoittanut edustivat TYK ry:tä Machina ry:n historiallisissa lipunnaulajaisissa, vaikka kuvatodisteet jäivätkin ottamatta tilaisuuden arvokkuuden takia.<br>

Seuraava viikko jatkuu kulttuuri- ja liikuntavoittoisena, sillä Futsalturnauksen alkulohkon pelejä on maanantaina ja keskiviikkona (kts. 2.1) sekä torstaina päästään vihdoin SuperPark-lajikokeilun pariin! Perjantain päätteeksi kannattaa suunnata Proffaan Afterworkeille.

<strong>Huomauttaisin vielä loppuun, että TYK ry:n varjotuutorihaku on auki 3.4. saakka (kts. 2.4)</strong>. Lisäksi sekalaiset osiosta löytyy muutamia työpaikkoja (kts. 4.1 ja 4.2), jotka kannattaa tsekata, jos olet vielä kesätöitä tai gradupaikkaa vailla.<br>

Kemistien Raittiusseura on ilmoittautunut <strong>mukaan futsalturnaukseen, joka alkaa ensi viikolla.</strong> Pelit pelataan

<strong>arkisin klo 10-18 välisenä aikana Educariumilla</strong>. Kentällä on samanaikaisesti 4+1 pelaajaa ja peliaika on 2x15 min suoraa aikaa. Vaihtopelaajia saa olla rajaton määrä ja suosittelenkin pienellä kynnyksellä osallistumaan rentoon turnaukseen.

 TYK ry:llä on yhteiskäyttöisiä liivejä pelaajia varten, mutta suosittelen silti pukemaan jotakin punaista päälle, jos vain mahdollista.<br>

<strong>Kemistien Raittiusseura has signed up for the futsal tournament, which starts next week.</strong>

<strong>The games will be played on weekdays from 10am to 6pm at the Educarium. </strong>

There are 4+1 players on the field at the same time and the play time is 2x15 min. There are an unlimited number of substitutes and I recommend participating in *a casual* tournament with a low threshold. TYK ry has shared vests for players, but I still recommend

 wearing something red if possible.<br>

The schedule for Raittiusseura’s preliminary round games is now published and registration is taking place on the Raittiusseura’s Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/798747386942925/). Of course, you can participate even if you forget to register,

 but with registrations we will be able to survey the sufficiency of players participating in the games.<br>

 tuutorien kanssa myös orientaatioviikon iltaohjelmien suunnittelusta ja sen toteutuksesta. Varjotuutorit auttavat pilttien yhteyshengen nostattamisessa ja toimivat lisäsilmäpareina ongelmatilanteiden ennaltaehkäisemiseksi. Niin kuin moni sanoo: siihen tarvitaan

 koko kylä!<br>

Varjotuutorointi on vapaaehtoistyötä, josta ei saa opintopisteitä tai rahallista palkkiota. Mutta varjotuutorit saavat toisenlaista kiitosta ja hallituksemme on erittäin kiitollinen jokaiselle hakijalle!<br>

Varjotuutoreita valitessa ovat etusijalla aikaisemmin tuutoreina toimineet henkilöt. Valinnassa otetaan huomioon kuitenkin myös motivoitunut asenne ja perustelut varjotuutoriksi hakemiselle sekä opintojen vaihe ja aiempi kokemus muusta pienryhmän ohjaamisesta.<br>

Olemme opetusministeriön rahoittama hanke, jonka tavoitteena on kehittää yliopistojen biodiversiteettikoulutusta yhteisesti verkostona. Mukana on viisi yliopistoa: Itä-Suomen yliopisto, Jyväskylän yliopisto, Oulun yliopisto, Helsingin yliopisto ja Turun yliopisto.</p>

Toivomme saamamme yhteensä 6-8 opiskelijaedustajaa jakamaan mielipiteitään ja ehdotuksia kurssien kehittämiseen liittyen. Haemme akateemisilta taustoiltaan erilaisia opiskelijoita, jotta saamme mahdollisimman monipuolisen edustajiston. Mukaan voit hakea, jos

 biodiversiteettiaiheiden opiskelu kiinnostaa ja haluat päästä vaikuttamaan biodiversiteettikoulutukseen Suomen yliopistoissa.</p>

Vastaa CampusSportin liikuntapalvelukyselyyn! Liikuntapalvelukyselyn tarkoituksena on kartoittaa kaikkien turkulaisten korkeakoulujen opiskelijoiden ja henkilökunnan näkemyksiä liikunnan harrastamisesta yleisesti sekä CampusSportin tarjoamista korkeakoululiikuntapalveluista.

 Kyselyyn vastaaminen tapahtuu anonyymisti. Halutessasi voit vastata ainoastaan osaan kysymyksistä. Vastanneiden ja yhteystietonsa jättäneiden kesken arvotaan kolme CampusSportin kesäkauden jäsenyyttä, yksi personal trainer -tapaaminen ja yksi 60 minuutin hieronta-aika.</p>

CampusSportin lukuvuoden 2022-2023 liikuntatuutorihaku järjestetään 10.3.-31.3.2022. Liikuntatuutori on vertaistukihenkilö: tavallinen liikkuja, joka tukee ja kannustaa muita tavallisia liikkujia. Tuutorin ei tarvitse olla liikunta-alan asiantuntija tai himourheilija

 – riittää, että liikkuminen kiinnostaa. Tuutoreiden toimintakausi on lukuvuoden mittainen. Liikunnan edistämisen lisäksi tuutorointi tarjoaa erinomaisen tilaisuuden saada lisää kokemusta esimerkiksi tapahtumien järjestämisestä tai esiintymisestä. Ja tärkeimpänä:

 kauden aikana tapaat upeita tyyppejä ja saat hienoja kokemuksia!</p>

Biodiversiteettiyksikkö hakee tutkimusavustajaa kehittämään menetelmiä nanokokoisten muoviroskien löytämiseksi. Turun yliopistolla on jo vahva osaaminen mikromuovien pitoisuuksien määrittämisessä. Nyt haluamme laajentaa osaamistamme mikromuovejakin pienempiin

Tutkimusavustajaa haetaan projektiin, jossa testataan eri menetelmien soveltuvuutta nanomuovien eristämiseksi (uuttamiseksi) vesinäytteestä ja niiden tunnistamiseksi. Nanomuovien tunnistamiseen testaamme raman-mikroskooppia ja/tai elektronimikroskooppia. Lopulliset

 työtehtävät sovitetaan valitun henkilön osaamisen ja kiinnostuksen mukaan. Tutkimusavustajan tehtävän edellytetään liittyvän pro gradu lopputyöhön.</p>

Hakijalta toivotaan kiinnostusta aiheeseen ja suoritettuja tehtävänkuvaan sopivia opintoja (esimerkiksi materiaalikemian tai materiaalifysiikan opintoja). Lisäksi toivomme hyvää yhteistyökykyä ja kommunikointitaitoja, sillä tutkielma toteutetaan opetusyhteistyössä

 asianomaisen oppilaitoksen, Biodiversiteettiyksikön sekä Maantieteen ja geologian laitoksen kanssa. Työn ohjaajina toimivat Biodiversiteettiyksiköstä tutkijatohtori Arto Hiltunen ja apulaisprofessori Jari Hänninen. Työn kolmantena ohjaajana toimii oman koulutusohjelmasi

 ohjaaja.</p>

The Biodiversity Unit is looking for a research assistant to develop methods to find nanosized plastic trash from water samples. University of Turku already has a strong tradition in measuring the amounts and type of microplastic from our waters. Now we are

The selected person will work in a project where we test different methods to extract nanoplastics from water samples, and then identify and quantify them. The identification and quantification are done using Raman and/or electron microscope. The final tasks

 will be matched with the applicant’s skills and preferences. Research assistant´s tasks are required to be connected to a master's thesis work.</p>

We are looking for a person who would be interested in the topic and who would have passed suitable studies that give enough background for the task (for example studies from materials chemistry or materials physics). In addition, the applicant should have

 good collaboration and communication skills because the work will be performed in cooperation with the Biodiversity Unit, the applicant’s department, and with the Department of Geography and geology. The supervisors from the Biodiversity Unit will be doctoral

 researcher Arto Hiltunen and professor Jari Hänninen. The third supervisor will be from the applicant’s department.</p>

The employment period will be 6 months and starts as agreed in April or May and the salary is 2003,07€/month. There is a trial period of one month.</p>
