<span style="font-size: 12.000000pt; font-family: 'Mada'">Synthetic biology is a novel, rapidly developing interdisciplinary science with tremendous potential in various applications including medicine, food and energy industries.

<p><span style="font-size: 12.000000pt; font-family: 'Mada'">The iGEM competition combines experiment, design, prototype modelling to develop innovations and tackle the current days global challenges. This year more than 322 student- driven teams from 40+ countries

will participate in iGEM competition, with <span style="font-size: 12.000000pt; font-family: 'Mada'; font-weight: 700">Aalto-Helsinki team<span style="font-size: 12.000000pt; font-family: 'Mada'">, the only team representing Finland since 2014.
