Subject: Cell signaling course (10 ECTS)

Dear All,

The Cell signaling course (10 ECTS) is organized by Åbo Akademi cell
biology in co-operation with the University of Turku and is suitable
for MSc (4-5th year) and PhD students in biology, biochemistry and
health biosciences. The course consists of lectures by signaling
experts from ÅAU and UTU, a group assignment, independent work and an
exam.

The course will introduce you to the key signaling receptors and
pathways as well as the most important principles of inter- and
intracellular signaling and signal processing. The role of signaling
in different disease states, therapy and drug development is also a
central theme on the course.

The course starts on Monday September 3rd, at 10:15, in Kurssalen (ÅAU
biology; Biocity 2nd floor, A-entrance). Lectures will be given during
weeks 36-43; on Mon (10-12), Wed (10-12) and Thu (8-10). Please enroll
on the course by email to kati.kemppainen@abo.fi. For more information
and updates please visit the course Moodle page at
https://moodle.abo.fi/course/view.php?id=1252 (UTU students log in via
