sisältää kullakin tutkittavalla kaksi noin viiden tunnin tutkimuskäyntiä, joiden aikana nautitaan ateria ja otetaan verinäytteitä 4 tunnin ajan. Ennen ateriaa kerätään aamuvirtsa, ja aterian jälkeen kerätään vuorokausi virtsaa sekä ulostenäytteitä. Tutkimuskäyntien

tutkimuksen päätyttyä koko tutkimuksen ajan mukana olleille henkilöille. Korvaus on veronalaista tuloa. Kunkin tutkimuspäivän päätyttyä tutkimushenkilöille tarjotaan vähäflavonoidinen ja vähäkuituinen lounas. Osallistujat saavat vähäflavonoidisia elintarvikkeita
kotiin kahdeksi jokaista tutkimuspäivää edeltäväksi ja tutkimuspäivän jälkeiseksi yhdeksi päiväksi eli yhteensä kuudeksi päiväksi.
