POSTDOCS/WARSAW<br>

The Dean of The Faculty of History, University of Warsaw, invites applications for the position of a postdoctoral researcher. The selected candidate will run their project at the Centre for Research on Ancient Civilizations (CRAC), which brings together historians,

 classicists, archaeologists, orientalists, Roman jurists, philosophers and the representatives of other disciplines who conduct the research on ancient studies at the University of Warsaw.

Period of employment: 12 months, beginning on 1.10.2024 or shortly thereafter.<br>

<br>

Salary: up to 13,000 PLN.<br>

<br>

Job description<br>

The successful candidate will:<br>

Ём conduct autonomous research on the project submitted in the application, with great potential and impact on international scholarship in any field of ancient studies<br>

Ём take active part in academic life at the University of Warsaw<br>

Ём disseminate results of their research through conference presentations and publications<br>

Ём actively contribute to strengthening the international position of the UW.  <br>

<br>

Requirements<br>

Ём a doctoral degree in any field of ancient studies such as history, classics, oriental studies, archaeology, Roman law, religious studies, philosophy or similar<br>

Ём documented experience in research within the field of ancient studies<br>

Ём proven active participation in international academic life<br>

Ём well-argued excellent research project dealing with any period of Antiquity<br>

Ём excellent knowledge of English (corresponding min. to level C1)<br>

Ём excellent communication skills<br>

Ём ability and willingness to work as part of a scholarly community.<br>
