It touches on migration, colonialism, and the material conditions of the archive, and on how we imagine knowledge and which people and places are legitimate sources of knowledge. From 2011 to 2017 she was Junior Professor for Ethics in Antiquity and Christianity at the University of Mainz and is now affiliated with the University of Halle.
